Consumer Cellular - Waste of time and now they want to bill me?
I contacted Consumer Cellular to get a better rate than I currently pay. Sales people told me that I could switch my existing phone over so they sent me the sim card.
I installed it only to find I can't call them to activate it. I take the phone to Target about 30 minutes from me. I spend 1 hour with the sales girl, who was very helpful to switch to Consumer Cellular. It was no good and now the salesman from C.C.
is telling me I need to buy new phone because at this point I lost my phone # and service. Well that defeats my goal of saving money. So now I go to Walmart about 15 minutes away spend 45 minutes with the salesperson who was able to get my phone working with my former service. But he couldn't recover my original #.
So now I have to call friends, co-workers, employer and doctors and give them the new #. When I got home I spent a long time on the phone filing a complaint with A.A.R.P. who sent me C.C. info and C.C.
C.C. passed the buck and would not compensate for my waste of time. Now I get a bill in the mail for $25.38 for service I never used.
The bill states the fee will automatically deducted from my credit card. My advice don't waste your time with cunsumer cellular.
