I purchased my IPhone 5 through Consumer Cellular. It's worked okay except for the poor quality of AT&T towers in our area.

Lots of dropped calls, no service etc. Two days ago it really began having problems: I couldn't send texts, I was calling and leaving voicemails and the person never got them. I couldn't even make calls from my phone to my husband. The phone shut down by itself, I did not shut it down.

When I restarted it, my home screen was gone, replaced with a white screen asking me to submit new information the phone already had. I could not gain access to the phone! It was "locked" and my passwords wouldn't work. I called Apple and they attempted to guide me through the process of opening up my phone.

Ends up the phone itself is bad. My question, how many others are having the same problem with faulty Consumer Cellulars' phones??
