My wife and I both use Consumer Cellular and have had it for about 1 year. We have noticed that we get these large spikes in data usage that bumps us up to the next level of usage.

This continues and we still don't have an explanation for this and have not been able to prove anything. We now have experienced a big bump up in talk minutes and when I checked it out it said one of the calls made to my wife was 134 minutes. Strange since all calls are under 10 minutes. Even stranger is that the call was from our home phone and my wife's cell phone said missed call.

Called consumer cellular and was told, that even though I have proof that it was a missed call and they charged 134 minutes, that there is nothing they can do, they get their data from cell towers. The good side they said was that I wasn't over my limit yet. This problem appears to be either a bug in their software, or it was intentional. So according to them, they are not even going to look into it, the solution is that when they do it again, I can just stop using my phone, or as I suspect, they will happily bump me up to the next level and charge me more.

I was on the phone almost 30 minutes and was put on hold four times.

I requested a phone number of someone else who could help me and got an email for service. No ticket was submitted and they never acknowledged that there was a problem.
