We spent the entire weekend trying to get consumer cellular to activate their service. on a phone we had on a straight talk network.

They kept blaming straight talk for not Unlocking the phone when we had confirmation that the phone was unlocked they still couldn't activate. We were sent to a target store 40 miles from where we live to get a sim card and have the CS representative help us. We were told we had less than an hour to get there. When we arrived we found out that the department closed 2 hours ago.

We have incurred costs trying to get this phone to work, Straight talk blamed Consumer Cellular and visa Versa. We never did get the service we wanted and we had to purchase another phone and minutes plan with straight talk. I have a list of your customer service people who couldn't do anything.

Mind you we spent several hours on hold (between 15 and 60 minutes per call) just to talk to a representative who says there is nothing he can do. I would like to be reimbursed for the $110 we spent buying a sim card and replacing the phone that your company caused us to have unlock abd then have NO service at all.

Reason of review: Access/ activation issues.

Monetary Loss: $110.

Preferred solution: I want to be compensated for our personal costs incurred replacing a good phone because your company failed to activate..

Consumer Cellular Cons: Poor customer service, Lengthy wait times.
