I signed up and authorized $149 payment on AmExp and ordered an Apple 5s phone. I explained that I had 40% hearing and had tried I phones 3 years ago but was assured that they had improved. Receiving Apple phone I found that I could not hear well and when when to Apple Care I was told to hold for 15-20 minutes. Red Flag! I sent the phone back and when I received my Am Exp bill there was a $99 charge which I refused. Calling Consumer Cellular I was told to go to Apple for the refund. I said no,,,you credit the $99 to me your prospective customer and then get the $99 back you set to Apple. They said that is not Apples policy. Bad Business!

American Express took care of the problem. That's the second time this year that they have corrected an unauthorized charge.

Tranferred Service while travelling abroad resulting in loss of service. | Consumer Cellular review

I arranged with Consumer Cellular to transfer two mobile lines from my existing carrier (T-Mobile). However, as I was planning to travel abroad, I called them and asked for the transfer to be delayed pending my return to the USA. Although they agreed to delay the transfer, Consumer Cellular requested the transfer from T-Mobile with the result that I lost use of my phone shortly after I left the US. This caused me a great deal of inconvenience and additional costs and belies their promise of 100% customer Satisfaction Guaranteed. I won't trust these cowboys to manage their way into a paper bag, let alone out!!

...but the customer service is terrific. No surprise, but when the CSRs are not in Asia, they understand your issues, if any. All of my questions asked were answered promptly, and were understood. When I had AT&T, the CSRs needed me to repeat what I said, over, and over again; still, they did not understand my question. They'd repeat to me what I asked them, what good is this?! My only, minor issue with Consumer Cellular is the phone selection. Most of 'em are a year, or more out of date. Is the latest, and greatest the best? Not always, but it can make a big difference.

Consumer Cellular - Phone Turn Off Review

I have had my phn over taken by wantabe hackers! My phn has been turned off 4-5 times since july. I have bought 2 new phns, contacted consumer cellular, motorola & AT&T! C.C. tells me there is nothing they can do, even with all the evidence I have. I have reported this to, google but you need to access an account("they"have full control). I got close once through temp wi-fi, but the network kept changing & then would go to another site/page or would freeze. I keep getting disconnected with support sites. Through reasearch, I found out it is international, & done by 4 people maybe more. My gmail might work. Please help Im disabled, a senior w/multiple health issues. My phn is my only accsess to health care.

Found this company and saved big bucks You get what you pay for, If you buy the cheapest chinese phone don't expect much. I purchased a Moto G smart phone and it works great, never had a spam or sales call like some people are complaining about Remember if you get a new number it may have been used by someone else. I can change my plan as I need to when my plan gets near the limit they email me and I act accordingly. Sometimes people love to blame the cell phone company for their own ignorance. Stop and think am I causing my own problems.
